Secure Digital (SD)

Introduction

The Secure Digital (SD) and Micro Secure Digital (uSD) are an industry-standard utilized in the portable storage industry’s multiple market segments and the most popular removable card in the consumer market. These cards are rugged, reliable, and cost-effective. There are two defined form factors commonly found in the industry. The full-size SD card has nine pins (two VSS), and the MicroSD has eight pins (one VSS).
